The Father of The Internet

Vint Cerf was one of the co-founders of the internet (along with Robert Kahn). From 1992 to 1995, Cerf served as the founder and president of the Internet Society. In 1999, he served as Chairman of the Board. In 2004, he won the highest honor award in the computer science field called the A.M. Turing Award for his contributions to society, and in 2005, he was given the Presidential Medal of Freedom by George W. Bush.
