Alan Turing

Alan Turing had many accomplishments that impacted computer science. For example, he proposed the Turing method which is an advanced idea in computer science and mathematics. He developed the idea of Turing Machines, which could theoretically solve any problem by using a set amount of rules. He designed the Bombe which deciphered German communications during WWII. He also wrote the first programming manual for the first marketable digital computer called the Ferranti Mark I, and so much more. He is truly a computer science hero, and his ideas are in heavy use today.
